Kelly Lui is the newest member of the Bonsai Time Podcast team. She got her start in bonsai relatively recently in the last few years but truly took off at a sprinting pace by joining the numerous bonsai societies around her in southern California. In 2023 she won the Ben Oki Bonsai Scholarship through the California Bonsai Society in part due to her aspiration to record interviews with senior members of the California bonsai community to preserve their history. It was through pursuing this aim that she was introduced to Ryan and Kevin while on a road trip.
